Michael & Morgan were radiating with joy when they shared their exciting news with me. They couldn’t wait to make the announcement to their family and friends. So, we scheduled their session for just a few short weeks away.  Before our time together we spoke about how they would share the news, where they wanted to be photographed, and the things that mattered most to them.

I consider the conversations I have with my clients, like the one with I had with Michael and Morgan, to be the most important part of what I do. Yes, I absolutely love photographing people but I couldn’t do that in a meaningful way without learning more about who they are. It’s through those conversations that I discover important details – like Morgan loves the water and Michael would rather be surrounded by trees.  I’m so glad they shared that with me because it helped me decide on a location – one that had both.  Now, they have photographs of this important part of their story in a setting that means something to both of them.
